At MAC|SYS we can take care of your Warranty and out-of-warranty repairs. If you're covered by AppleCare and the machine has failed due to no fault of your own, it's no problem at all - we'll sort out ordering the correct part and get you back on your Mac or iPad as fast as we can manage. If your repair is outside the scope of your warranty - accidental damage or part failure beyond coverage date - we will give you an estimate for repair. We will also, for a reasonable fee, provide you with a quote for your insurance company if you choose to submit a claim to them.

      • Upgrades

So you've had your machine a few years now, and it's starting to feel a tad sluggish? Well, there are things you can do - how about increasing the RAM or adding a Solid State Drive (SSD) to speed things up?

Give us a call and we can chat about what is available for your machine.

      • Home Calls

Having problems with your email? What about your WiFi? Need some help using your Mac's software?

Why not have one of our engineers come out and give you a hand? Home calls are £45 per hour, but most issues can be solved within the hour. Note, home based businesses are not able to avail of the home-call rate.

Our consultants can advise you in all aspects of your information technology - whether it's software or hardware solutions, networking, cable infrastructure, email implementation, Mobile Device Management or any other aspect you need attended to.

      Any Questions?

Check out the Frequently Asked Questions below to see if any queries you may have are addressed. If not, feel free to email us with any questions.

      Do you repair iPhones?
No. Due to the wide range of iPhone mobile network partners we are unable to. Please book a Genius bar appointment at Victoria Square Apple Store.
Why should I get my repair done with you when the Apple Store is nearby?
A fair question! We love the guys and girls at the Apple Store, but they do get very busy, especially around product launch time. So if your AppleCare customer service representative sends you to us instead of the Genius Bar for your repair, don't be surprised.

We work with the Apple Store, not against them. We both get our parts from the same Apple supply chain, and our technicians are also Apple Certified Engineers. We don't like to brag, but our turnaround time is often a teensy bit faster than theirs for major repairs.
How much will my repair cost?
Until we have your machine and are able to run our diagnostic software to test it, we are unable to give you a price. When we do though, you can bet it will be reasonable!
      What about my data?
We understand that the most important thing about your Mac is the data you have on it, whether it's photos, videos, work or that dissertation you've spent months on. We will do our best to rescue what we can if you come in with a hard drive problem, but we won't always be successful.

Feel free to drop us a line and we'll talk to you about back-up solutions we recommend, so that when the time comes that you suffer a storage drive failure (and trust us, it comes to everyone eventually) you won't be left worrying about the data that matters most to you.
      Do you do upgrades?
We do! Let us know what your current spec is on your Mac and we will suggest reasonable and effective upgrades to keep you up to date with the latest macOS updates and third-party software.
      Do you do pick-ups?
Not as a rule, but if you are in the Greater Belfast area and ask really nicely, one of our roving engineers might be able to collect it. Same goes for drop offs after a repair is completed.
      Do I need an appointment?
Nope! Just bring your machine to our workshop during our opening hours and we'll book it in immediately. We don't do repairs as you wait though - you will need to prepare to leave your device with us.
How long will my repair take?
In general our turnaround time for a repair averages out at 3 working days. Things that affect this include shipping delays and communication delays - if you have asked to be contacted by email it's important that you respond to our questions or estimates as soon as possible, as these will impact repair time.
My business uses Macs - can you advise us on how to work better together?
We thought you'd never ask! Consultancy is our specialty - we have many years of experience of tailoring Apple-based solutions to all sizes of businesses, from SMEs to international film productions.

Whether your business is just starting out and you need some cost-effective ways to work smarter and with better integration, or you need to deploy software on a large scale, our specialists can handle whatever you can throw at them!
      Do you sell refurbed Macs?
In general we don't keep a stock of refurbed Macs, as much as we'd like to, but if there is something you are looking for we certainly know the right places to help you look. Give us a call or email and we'll do our best to get you the machine you need to suit your budget.
What do I need to bring with me?
Just your sick Mac, preferably. We don't need your power cables, keyboards, mice or what have you, unless you think one of your accessories is the cause of a problem, in which case we're happy to test those for you.

In any other case though save yourself the hassle and just bring the device itself.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, cash, cheques and of course Apple Pay!
